Suture is a testament to modes of relating: at a time where increasing availability of the means of engagement does not necessarily lead to an increase in meaningful attachments or harmonious co-existence, what does it mean to come together as a multitude where singular entities do not overlap—or enmesh—but co-exist; together yet independent? Taking inspiration from injurious practices of healing—suturing—it deploys a more literal approach to the immateriality of a musical idea to its performative form: with each group of instruments working amongst itself, it presents an experiment of coming together where rough edges are deliberately welcome.
